How To Become A Wholesale Pepsi Distributor In Nigeria

how to become a PepsiCo Distributor In Nigeria
How To Become A Pepsi Distributor In Nigeria

I know much lower about how to become a Pepsi distributor in Nigeria than how to become a Coca-Cola distributor in Nigeria.  But I believe that it is a similar thing because the price for soft drinks on 35cl, 50cl or 50cl in the competitive market is the same. What Pepsi have can,  plastic and bottle in different sizes on soft drinks is what Coca cola has.

May be they have conference or association that no branding company should fight each other on price or compete with each other on price because they want to sustain their business in the competitive market.

They should respect each other in the competitive market.  That is how they grow well in the market through the power of union.

But you decide to choose either of the two top leading brands, PepsiCo, Coca Cola, to become a soft drink distributor or both. They may accept it.

They may allow you to operate with them together in one warehouse as a soft drink or one-way distributor since their marketing prices on soft drinks are same.

What Makes You Smile To The Bank Daily

What makes major or mini distributors or dealers smile to the bank daily is assorted soft drinks. Most spenders, canteen owners, restaurants, food-community retailers, supermarketers, eateries, street hawkers, snack joints event planners, drinks vender need assorted soft drinks in plastics, bottles and or cans for guests, visitors, friends, food customers, business etc.

That is why both Pepsi and Coca cola brands including Bigi Cola or RiteFoods, are still in war over soft drinks in the same price.

To own your share in the Pepsi’s wealth is to partner with her as a Pepsi major distributor. It could be retirees, teachers, civil servants, students, part-time employees, etc.

For as either a shopping-mall owner, you can order both brands in bulk for business on one-way drinks.

It can make you rich because most middle-class, rich and poor people can walk into an international supermarket to order one-way pack carton(s) or canned/plastic soft drinks daily for festivity season or fun.

That is where you come in as a dealer or supermarket. You know that most people would like to spend on one-way pack soft drinks for food, domestic family, gifts, birthday ceremony, coronation, valedictory, send-off party, religious anniversary, conference, etc. That gives you an opportunity to walk into this hot demand.

Both brands including new RiteFoods Bigi Cola are the household of every where in this country.

Selling assorted soft drinks on one-way or parking it outside for sales are every where we ever see. It shows how hot this is.

Even if you sell soft drinks alone as a PepsiCo distributor, you can order all brands in bulk as a one-way distributor if you want.

Follow Customers’Pschology On Soft Drinks

Understand your customers’ psychology. Follow it if you want fast sales. Different Customers/consumers have different tastes in different communities in cities.

For instance, in our community at Odo-Ona, Apata, one female major distributor sold coca cola soft drinks products in crates. But she found that community retailers did not buy them in exchange regularly as she hoped.

So she decided to introduce other Pepsi products in crates for sales as a Pepsi distributor because she saw that most small retailers went to another place to buy Pepsi products in exchange in the far distance from her in the same place at Apata road.

By that time, her crates of Pepsi products grew faster in numbers than coca cola products in her space. Yet she sold both brands to small soft drink retailers and end users.

However, for my analysis, I find that Pepsi and 7Up have healthy benefits. Both consumers and customers in our community at Apata prefer Pepsi or 7Up for healthy reasons. That is why small-retailing customers still prefer buying crates of Pepsi products in exchange for business at home.

I do not mean coca cola is not good. It is good. But it is consumers’ decision for reason. For At Sango, Samonda, UI, most people prefer consuming coca cola products daily.

That is where I saw most sellers parked Coca cola and Bigi Cola products in full outside their store on the road when I passed by in the Taxi car for work every morning.

For Ring Road, Challenge in Ibadan, consumers refer consuming both Pepsi and Coca Cola carbonated soft drinks because of their rich families in the international environment. And for Lagos state and Ogun state, people only prefer consuming coca cola products.

Pepsi products may be suitable for the less-privileged in their local communities. It may fit for small party on baby naming ceremony, for local canteens, venders, domestic consumers or spenders, one-way gifts while coca cola may be suitable for the high-privileged in the rich communities, for bigger party on wedding, baby naming ceremony, coronation, etc.

Remember if you want to sell fast in your store as a Pepsi major or minor distributor, I recommend you to sell crates of soft drinks to customers or retailers because most people in the poor or average community refer spending N50, N60 or N80 on bottles of soft drinks for food in the canteen, for their guests or visitors in their home, etc daily rather than N100 or N150 on pets of soft drinks or plastic /canned soft drinks.

They want to save money when it comes to spend on soft drinks. They want to economize for reason. One-way soft drinks are only for festival season, travelers, and shoppers. Please study customers’ mental behavior in your own community or outside this before you start as a distributor.

Wholesale Prices Of Soft Drinks In Nigeria

I recognized one of my competitive business bloggers on coca cola or Pepsi distribution business as a test.

I found how wrong they made on wholesale price of soft drink in Nigeria. I doubt if they said in their blog that one crate of 50cl soft drink cost N1850 per crate bought from the major distributor because it is not right when it comes to calculation.

For instance, 24 bottles of 50cl soft drinks sold at N80 per cost each is multiplied 24 by N80 which is N1920. Then it is deducted from N1850 which is N70 in profit. It is small. It is not enough.

If I purchase for example one crate for N1800 and sell 24 bottles of 50cl soft drinks for N80 each, I make N120 in profit each as a retailer.

But for 7Up/ Pepsi crates, I was told by one of my neighbours in our community at Apata road who often purchased from the soft drink distributor for his mother to sell at home that 35cl of soft drinks in one crate purchased from the major or minor distributor is N900 each while 50cl of soft drinks is N1200 each.

It is so cheap because you can make much more profitable selling cold soft drinks as a retailer at home or canteen in the community.

For as a distributor you want to become, it means that when retailers buy crates of 35cl soft drinks for N900 and crates of 50cl soft drinks for N1200, it means that major distributors may buy wholesale directly from the Pepsi Company for between N800 for 35cl soft drinks and N1000 for 50cl soft drinks in separate.

Though, remember that the Pepsi Company, Coca Cola Company or Bigi Company won’t display you list of wholesale prices of soft drinks on their websites till you walk into this hot opportunity as a major distributor.

I asked my Uncle who happened to become sales representative for the Coca Cola Company to send me list of wholesale price of soft drinks so that I could post it on my blog, but he did not reply me on whatsApp chat for a reason.

So, why scares because you do not want to make wrong? Why afraid because you want to know wholesale prices of soft drinks in list before you plan money for business, or you loan from financial institution for business or you start a business?

Remember top brands do not want to show you list of wholesale prices of soft drinks on their websites until you become their major distributor. What shall you do? Do not waste your time.

Just walking into this opportunity that will help you learn more what this or that  better wait to be perfect. If you have money and you interest as a major or minor distributor, be ready to go there on your investment plan well. Don't ask a question as if you are afraid, hesitating to make wrong.

How To Become A Major Pepsi (/Coca Cola) Distributor

Step 1: You must have faith. You must have great interest. You must have good marketing strategies.

You have good money management because pilfers are happy if you fail to notice your money management. You must have financial capacity to purchase in great numbers.

Step 2:  Decide what business brand you want to name, e.g JosJane (Coca Cola) or Pepsi Depot. Ouwfunke Investment Pepsi (or Coca Cola) Depot.

Step 3: Register your business brand with Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria. Or you do not need to register if you want to become a minor distributor.

Step 4: Create a current account with your business brand for business transaction and employees salaries, separating from your bank account.

Step 5: Look for warehousing facility you can rent monthly or yearly or you can ask a wielder to do the steel warehousing for you at fee.

Ensure that you have a bigger space, in front of passers by on the road at the traffic junction or zebra.

Step 6: Buy your own crates of empty water bottles so that you can purchase volumes in exchange.

Decide which one you want to become a distributor. Be it RGB (soft drink bottles) distributor or One-Way distributor, depending on your financial strength.

Step 7:  Ensure that you have enough cash disbursements for business needs or equipment or spending business expenses.

Step 8: Plan to buy second-hand small van for conveyance if you want to sell fast or you want to become an event planner.

Step 9: Plan to have books made by the printer for keeping records and receipts.

Step 10: Go to the Customer Support Officer of either Pepsi Company or Coca Cola Company of your choice and tell them you want to become a major distributor.

Or look for the customer care service’s official phone number on its website. After that, you may be required to order volumes for business in your zone area. You can use cheque to pay for or use internet banking to pay for soft drinks.

Step 11: Then order a designer to design a plastic bill board for you and ask a card printer to make business card for you so that you can get contacts.

And employ some people in your business.  Understand that you need much money. It is not for small investors who want to start with N50, 000, N100, 000 or up to N200,0000. It is only for capitalists who are serious.

If you can’t, you can start as a one-way distributor on low capital like up to N500,000 or you can operate with any major distributor of your choice as a minor distributor on small investment like up to N800,000.

May be Pepsi or Coca Cola Company accept if you order 10, 20, 30, 40 or up to 100 volumes each directly. But remember no rebate or incentives on each volume.
